Walt Nelson joined Bonnie Robertson Texas Living Realty in 2010 as a licensed agent. Walt and his wife, Ardie, have lived in Texas for the past 14 years. Their tenure in Texas began in Mission, Texas for 8 years before relocating to Eagle Lake, Texas for 5 years. Currently, they reside reside in Centerville, Leon County, Texas in the Big Oak subdivision.
Walt was born and raised in Hinckley, Minnesota where he worked in dairy farming for over 30 years. On the family farm, he learned animal, crop management and construction skills.
While living in Mission, he worked in construction, agriculture, and small business. He taught himself woodworking skills which he uses to build Mission-style furniture and custom built pieces. In Eagle Lake, Walt worked for Wiese Brothers, a rice farming concern.
Now, with Bonnie Robertson Texas Living Real Estate, Walt is working with buyers and sellers of ranch and hunting land. He is an avid hunter, specializing in Minnesota white tail deer. Other hobbies include fishing and maintaining his acreage in Big Oak. Walt has worked with Habitat for Humanity, Mission Service Projects and other home rehab work in various communities. Walt is member of the Madisonville Chamber of Commerce. He attends the First United Methodist Church in Madisonville, TX.
The Nelson’s daughter Sara, her husband and daughter live in Madisonville.
